Read each pulse in its evidence context.

Set up a heartbeat rule

1. Create the rule in Automation Pulse and start its one-time setup challenge.
2. In Shopify Flow, map the app action’s monitor key and pulse ID exactly as shown.
3. Run the test workflow before the challenge expires. The app accepts the signed action callback only when the challenge details match.

What a result means

Outcome present means the configured Shopify state was observed within the rule window. Heartbeat received means this app accepted a valid signed action callback. Neither result identifies which Flow caused the state.

Unknown results

An API error, missing scope, stale context, incomplete lifecycle coverage, unhealthy scheduler, or unverified dispatch keeps a pulse unknown. Review the visible reason and restore the missing dependency before retrying.

Include the rule name, visible result, and evaluation time. Do not send passwords, access tokens, customer data, order details, lifecycle secrets, or scheduler tokens.
