Read each pulse in its evidence context.

Set up a heartbeat rule

1. In Shopify Flow, enable a workflow that starts with Automation Pulse Due and runs Record Automation Pulse. Map the trigger’s pulse ID into the action’s Pulse ID field and enter one exact monitor key.
2. In Automation Pulse, select that enabled Flow trigger, enter the same monitor key, and send the setup pulse.
3. Before the setup challenge expires, let Flow return the pulse through Record Automation Pulse. The app accepts only the exact signed action callback.
4. Select the verified monitor key and enabled Flow trigger, then enable the heartbeat rule.

What a result means

Outcome present means the configured Shopify state was observed within the rule window. Heartbeat received means this app accepted a valid signed action callback. Neither result identifies which Flow caused the state.

Unknown results

An API error, missing scope, stale context, incomplete lifecycle coverage, unhealthy scheduler, or unverified dispatch keeps a pulse unknown. Review the visible reason and restore the missing dependency before retrying.

Pause, resume, and export

Pause a rule from Your monitors to cancel its queued work; work already in progress may finish. Resume requires current installation and active billing evidence. Heartbeat rules also require an enabled current Flow and a verified setup receipt.

While the app remains installed, open Evidence history and choose Download JSON. The export remains available when monitoring is inactive and contains bounded rule and evidence records, not a complete Shopify Flow execution log. Review it before sharing.

Include the rule name, visible result, and evaluation time. Do not send passwords, access tokens, customer data, order details, lifecycle secrets, or scheduler tokens.
